I've lost half of mine in previous years to the snow, but that's hardly been a problem this year.  Is the ground very wet?

Sets.

Had them pulled out of the ground before but they have never left home  ???

Probably the warm weather has made them stay around instead of flying off to warmer climes.  Decided to save their airmiles.

I haven't been to my plot since about the 17th December so don't know how mine are doing. I hope they'll be in full swing but if I can get up there this weekend I'll know for certain.

Both doing well (fingers crossed).  My first time planting Japs so hoping for a good success rate. ;)

Ours are that well developed, I'm hoping we don't get really severe conditions or we may have to cover them  :)
