Steve.

Does anyone know how long after planting it is that the tubers we will harvest start to form and swell?

I suffered some slug damage to my crop this last season and I'm thinking if I know the answer to the question above I could apply nematodes to my crop at the crucial time.

Many thanks.

Steve...:)

It depends on the variety.... earlies or lates... pull back a month from the cropping time...  :-\

If you apply nematodes in May (after you planted your seed potatoes)..the soil is warm enough for the treatment and and it gives nematodes plenty of time to 'chomp' through the slugs.
Nematodes should last in soil for weeks and eventually dying down once the food supply run out.
