Today I am eating the penultimate pumpkin.  Pumpkin and carrot soup and pumpkin pie.  (Bit pumpkined out at the moment and another one to deal with  :P but not so big)

Harvested beetroot, carrots, Swiss chard, parsnips, Hamburg parsley, salsify, scorzonera, rocket, leeks, celariac, Brussel sprouts, purple sprouting, potatoes and (stored) garlic.  Who said that you can't harvest veg during the winter?

PS. would have harvested the lambs lettuce and land cress if they had been larger.  Put them in a little late though.

Just had a rocket fro the lottie and smoked ham sandwich. Tonight I am doing squid provencal with tomatoes/courgettes sauce made in the summer.

Was lovely to provide all the veg for Christmas Day again - may not be the best looking veg but very gratifying.
