6.12pm and the rain is coming down in torrents and there is thunder and lightening!

This morning on the allotment was like a blustery summers day.  Bang on 3pm as I headed out the door to pick number one daughter up from school, the heavens opened, and by 3.30, glorious again!

What is going on??  I said to my son, 'who said it could rain huh?' and he calmly told me 'Mother nature and the weather man!'

I was up on my lottie this afternoon and was exhausted putting my cagoule on when it rained, taking it off again when the sun came out, trying to climb into the tool box for shelter when the hail came down and the thunderstorm started and then fighting with the fleece when trying to protect my seedlings because a hurricane appeared to be blowing. No energy left for actual gardening  ;)

Debs

It has been a fine dry and quite mild day oop these northeasterly parts.

Please keep all of your bad weather to yourselves!! ;D

Sun is shining brightly with blue skies in Whitley Bay today, but it is very deceiving as when you are out in it, it is freezing with a biting cold wind.  Had a small smattering of snow this morning too.  Temperature feels like we are back to winter.  :) busy_lizzie

Had just about everything here in North Wales today... Sun, snow, rain, hail. wind.. only missing typhoon and hurricane ( dont speak to loud )  Very weird. ::)  Quick Mia check out of the window its snowing now :o
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Multiveg

Well, it had a 30 second rest! The snow 2 minutes ago was quite a heavy sort of downpour -now, apart from the odd gust of wind, it is just meandering down from the sky! And there is a small patch of blue sky too.

brief signs of snow when I took the dog for a walk late morning....now it is just b"+%^y cold ....sky looks ominously grey and laden. Perhaps it's an afternoon watching the National tomorrow (not the other televised event though!)

Marianne

Here is Hertfordshire, it has been raining on and off for the last 2 days.   :( :o

Temperatures have dropped drastically and I am wondering whether to bring in my seedlings and where to put them as not enough windowsills.   ???    ??? :-\

I have repotted most of them today as they needed more room.  I am hoping for better weather at the week end.
Fingers crossed that the weather improves   :)
Enjoy today to the full.  You are not sure of a tomorrow.
