My marrow won

My marrows won the heaviest marrow competition today -

It's the first time I've ever grown 'real' marrows and I was thrilled with the result. The winner (on the left) was 46lb. 6oz. The other two were 30.6 and 31.1.

Congrats-  did it fit in the micro ;D

It looked even bigger in real life and that was 2 months go!

I don't know the variety.  The seeds were from a 70lb marrow so it stood a good chance of being big.

I don't know what to do with it now - I don't like marrow!  I've already given one of them away to a plot holder but I might ask our Cats Protection lady if she can use the other two for her preserves. 

Good idea about the Kit e Kat Mr Smith, I might try that next year!  ;)
