I hands and kneed through this over the last 4 days, weeding it. Pity about the daffs they are supposed to be white. but if you look closely you can see they are pale yellow with an orange cup!

goodness!! :o
that must have taken some planting!
the daffs look good though, despite not being white  ::) ....what variety are the tulips?

Jesse

Just looking again at your picture, there are so many bulbs, do you buy them in bulk and do you get a good price. I want to plant lots this autumn so that I can have cut flowers for the house next spring.

Lovely pic Palustris.  Like yer daffs :)  I was in the New Forest over Easter whilst visiting my son there for the first time.  He took us to Deer Leap which I enjoyed very much.  The weather was brilliant.  When I got home the place was really wet and dismal just like November.   :(
I came, I saw, I composted

This is probably about the best picture I am going to get of the New Forest. The Queen of the Night are a little later than we had hoped and Attila( the dark pink )is earlier. And as I said the daffs are the wrong ones, not only colour wise but flowering time too.

Eric it looks just like a beautiful painting, its so lovely.

I wondered? When all the spring bulbs die back what do you with the area then for the summer?

Palustris

Ah, well, good question. Hopefully the shrubs which are hidden will grow a bit and there are also hundreds of Galtonia candida and viridis and Agapanthus esculenta. Any gaps may well be filled with ??????
AND I need some space for the Tree Peonies we are hoping to have enough money to plant his year.
