Beautiful pictures.  I love watching them out of the kitchen window.  Such characters. ;D

Every time I visit the allotment, you can guarantee a robin will turn up keeping an eye on me...

Flighty,
You can seem to catch yours on film, ours is camera shy and sings at the top of our Oak tree. Goes all night around here as the male is trying to keep his territory from the younger ones I think.

You need to wait until there's one that comes round looking for grubs as you dig. I had a juvenile like that a few years ago, and after many attempts I managed a pic.

Robert,
I have plenty of pics of the ground where one was and the bush it sat on. But to get one that is of the robin itself eludes me. Or is it that I am to slow for the slug that was there and next gone before the camera came up to my eye.

I had exactly the same experience. Keep going, you get there in the end!

Nice vid Jim,
I would use one too but have trouble with the shaky hands and thats not through age yet.
I will keep trying and hope I get one to add to the folder.
