^^ Yikes, where are you? Shetland?

I have given myself chilblains for the first time ever - from putting my freezing cold feet on a hot water bottle.  But at least I now know it's not frostbite or trenchfoot.

I'm in Lincolnshire

Digeroo

It was -5 overnight but we are having a heatwave now it is -3.  All foggy as well.  Reminds me of going to school in the smogs of the 60s except it does not smell as bad.

I am glad that I do not have to go out and stand about in it.

What happened to global warming?

It must have been cold last night- ice on the inside of the double-glazing this morning! Haven't had that for many a year but with an end of terrace with no cavity walls to insulate that room is very hard to keep warm.Brrr!

caroline - it was cold last night; it was -16.7 at Linton on Ouse and -18 at Topcliffe...  Makes it feel relatively warm near me last night (http://www.dugglenet.org/wdisplay/wdl.html) as this site recorded -14.8!!!

Just seen we are forecast -14 tonight- may have to break the habit of a lifetime and have the heating on overnight :o

However, when I go to the "next 24 hours" option, the minimum shown is -7 ???

It is -13 here now in Derby..I've just had to go to my parents house to do some washing as my washing machine is frozen and will not work, and now the water will not drain down the sink either........ >:(
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Caroline, we're in a similar set up and hubby has spent the last couple of weeks insulating between the floor joists. Made a world of difference!

Noticed it actually made it to 0 this morning when I took hubby to work. Positively balmy  ::)   ;D

A government minister said yesterday that all people travelling with this bad weather around should be prepared for the worst and should carry with them a Spade,A hot drink in a thermas flask, food, a blanket, jump leads and tow rope!
I looked a proper tw@t on the bus this morning!

^^^ Hahahaha ;D

Watched the forecast last night and it said icy conditions and dense fog would be dominating this area today.  By 9.30am we had bright sunshine and blue skies!! Has been flipping cold though.

I have never felt it so cold as today.  -  whatever, it was Baltic.  We went out a walk to take Pictures of the ice but came home PDQ  much too cold.
