Allotments 4 All

Came across these photo's the other day. Very fortunate, staying in our hotel in France all these old classic cars started coming into the car park. Stayed over night, next morning went on to some rally to Andorra. Not a car buff myself, but if anyone interested lots more to follow.

I am a chitty chitty bang bang lover.  Have no idea what people see in modern cars, no shapes, no personalities, give me a vintage any day!  When ( please note I said when) I win the lottery, going to get me a navy blue Morgan, with wicker picnic hamper on the back.  Morgans are dreamy!  ;D

Looks a little like a Bughati ??  But then maybe not.

We used to own a racing green MG, a beautiful machine.  Unfortunately, it is no more but we have fond memories, or should I say A fond memory !  ;D ::)

Tis gorgeous!  Almost like one of these, Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 1954-1968, but then not........

Is it a Beema? lovely colours, my Grandson told me BMWya's are called Beema's ::) What do I know ??? :P

Are you sure about that, DD?  I've also just zoomed in through Image Composer and it doesn't look like a Fiat badge to me?  As far as what the car is, I have no idea!

My OH and I have just said goodbye to our beloved old MG (1976)  :'( It had lovely new paintwork, carpets and two new lovely leather front seats specially made in Plymouth but we had to part with it as neither of us could bear sitting in it any longer (bad backs). :'(

We sold it to a retired engineer who is going to give it a good home.   :'(We waved it out of sight, both of us saying nothing, but with tears in our eyes. :'(  I wanted my son to take it but he's 6'5" and just too tall to fit in it comfortably. 

We always used to plan picnics in it, I'd be buttering baps like you do, my OH would start fiddling with the car, and by the time it had got dark he'd still be fiddling with it and the sandwiches were long since curled up.  Ah happy days  ;D

This is NOT the place for this, surely??

However, if we had ours today, I think it would be worth over £20,000!! Cost us £100 in 1950.

I also had a Wolseley Hornet in 1941. Cost £37.10.0
