Hi everyone. I went to Hodsock yesterday and it was amazing. I was so lucky with the weather. For those who have not been, I thought I would share some photos of the experience. The woodlands are covered in snowdrops and the gardens are lovely too. Lots of hellebores and winter flowering honeysuckles.

Enjoy! I hope these give you a flavour of the place. I would definitely recommend a visit for those who have not been.

Wow! What lovely photos! You had nice weather didn't you? I love the natural look of the place. How long were you there for? I love the black hellebore too, but I think you know I like black flowers. It's a shame it isn't open all year round. Doesn't it close this weekend?

Hi Lord Steve

Good photos, and I think they give a very accurate flavour of the whole thing.  Glad you had fun.

Good to see you've put a couple of arty-farty ones in as well - I like them!

Great photographs.  You are handy with a camera huh!  Love the snowdrops, cyclamen and Helebore, but absolutely love the way the bamboo planted on either side of the stream creates an archway. Wonderful!

Gorgeous pics - they really fill me with that hopeful spring-y feeling!

Unlike the grey, dull, depressing feeling I get looking out of the office window here in the city!

That place looks lovely where is it?

Gardenantics

It's near Worksop, in a village called Blyth, Nott's.
Just 2 miles from where the A1M turns back into the A1 at Blyth roundabout.

Cannot believe I have about twelve miles away and had never heard of it!!

Lord Steve

I definitely recommend a visit next winter! It was a most unique experience seeing the mass planting of the snowdrops. You can really see how they got their name - it is like the woodland floor is covered in snow!

Thanks for the positive feedback about the photos. Very happy to share them to encourage others to visit the gardens!
