I reckon we'll start picking this weekend... but we're supposed to be ahead of you.. Are they indoors Tim?

tim

Courgettes? Out.

Cus? In.

aquilegia

Mine are slowly forming flower buds........way behind yours Tim.
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

goodlife

I started mine early in GH..kept potting it on..and planted it out just before last frost in compost bin...with coldframe over for a week or so...it already had flower buds on when it was planted out in May... ;)

Picked my first little courgette today. :D

Hmmm maybe I should look at mine this weekend then! Last week they were starting to flower but i find that many of the first flowers don't work or fall off. The plant was big though.
I have green and yellow this year.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Sorry, aquilegia - potted up 5/5, planted 19/5.

aquilegia

that'll explain it then! Mine were sown at the beginning of June and only just planted out! Must sort out more drop protection for next year!
gone to pot :D

Have had 3 cuces from indoor grown Marketmores so far, pick them at around 5 inches.

2 courgettes ready now, but will leave on the plant for a couple of days until needed - this plant was raised in a heated porch, transferred to an unheated greenhouse, and them plonked in a pot in a sunny spot around 21st May - variety Zucchini (from Moles) - didn't want to risk a more pricey seed, cos I'm a tightwad  ;)
