Allotments 4 All

Here is my patent slug killer box.  It can contain slug bait (the box has a tight fitting lid so it's safer than scattering the stuff), beer or dried yeast mixed with water just in case you drank all the beer!

I've had a message from my plotty neighbour to go and empty my box from the lotty as it's full (that had the yeasty mixture in)

Easy to make at home using stuff that would otherwise be chucked.  This is a toilet paper box.  I made another from a wash powder plastic box.  I've only attracted slugs in it so far but if I get anything in there that I shouldn't I'll let you know as I don't want frogs or anything useful in it.  I'll keep the hole smallish to avoid that.

and how are they stopped from coming out? or is it such that you will have to empty the box once a day in 'hunting' season, and refill with fresh bait?

What a brilliant idea Wardy :D  Will definitely have a go - hopefully it will save me having to do my nightly vigil around the garden with a torch when all my tender plants go out :o
