I got one of these from ebay, and I would NOT recommend it!  This is the second summer and the seams have already come undone.  The zip has broken and there are holes all over the fabric.
You get what you pay for I suppose.

we got ours from northern polytunnels (branch of lbs garden warehouse)  :)

I was looking to buy one of those - its all I can afford!

Am wondering if they will last longer if you put hot spot tape on the poles and protect the seams with Duct tape?

I don't know, but even if the seams hadn't come apart, holes have appeared all over the fabric.  Because it fits quite tightly over the frame there is quite a bit of tension on the seams and zip.  The frame itself is fine, no problem with that at all.  I suppose I could recover it with something stronger.
But they are quite cheap and for the first season it was fine.
I think the only good thing about them is the frame. 

The green meshey ones are definately a disposable item, 1 - 2 years use is about right, they also cant be tethered down that securely.

That said I have bought them in the past for about £75 for a 2M X 5M, used them for a couple of years and then cover them with netting and still use them as Brassica frames.

Theres a big difference between them and 'proper' (1St Tunnels, Northern Polytunnels et al)  polytunnels though.

First Tunnels here as well ,mine had a few bits missing from the kit but they were very quick in sorting it out  ;D ;D

Now you've made up your mind, get the largest you can afford, and watch out for discounts - First Tunnels often put them on ebay, but they also have discounts through the year, and you can get quite a bit off the listed price.

I've used Citadel, prompt service  covers, tape, etc lasted 5 years before needing repair.  Highly recommended

I have installed 7 or 8 tunnels around our site and would be happyto order from either Firsat Tunnels or Northern Tunnels. I would strongly recommend hot spot tape. Why spend a couple of hundred pounds on the cover and not protect it.
