Well done Digeroo. Enjoy :P.

Digeroo

I shall.  Its the first decent size one.  I have been getting a few very small, but this is my first Clarita.  My fav.  Seems to be getting more difficult to get the seeds.  Trying Trieste this year, growing well, nice looking plants - pity about the taste.

Does anyone know of a variety which grows like clarita.  I had one once as a weed, but that was before I got onto the seed saving bit.  Tried Magda and Clarion.

Much prefer that Lebanese type, Digeroo - usually grow Real Seeds' White Volunteer or Lebanese Bush.
Really dense white flesh, even when quite large.

Don't see them on their site this year.

We are hoping for the first of many astia today
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

They look great Tim.  Got Trieste but does not seem to have the right shape and not so good taste.  Though cropping magnificently.  Have heard of White Volunteer will look for it next year.

Got a packet of seeds in Turkey so am waiting to see what that will produce.

Wow, my courgettes have only just started forming titchy flower buds. All that pig poo must have worked some magic!

Am defo going to be more adventurous with types of seeds next year.

I think that's  part of the fun of growing your own - being able to try out different varieties and this site is great for recommendations......  ;D
