Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of the blasted things :)

They are growing in my flower beds, but the roots are so deeply in bedded its hard to get them out..... I cant dig to deep around them as it disturbs my other plants and for some strange reason they seem to grow where I have a treasured plants coming up :( :( :( :(

I have tried glysophate weed killer, to no avail.. :(

HELP!!!!

Dig/pull as much as you can, easier after rain.. then paint the stuff onto the new growth... far more susceptible and allow it to be absorbed back into the roots...
That's the best advice I can offer.  :-\

Dig out what you can. As long as you get the top few inches of the root, the rest shouldn't be able to regenerate.

cut out as much root as possible, try to leave a level surface on the root. put on teaspoon of salt. that'll do it ;)

we have a 'daisy grubber', push it down as far as you can and lever most of the plant up  :)

grow some stinging nettles . and when the stingers are growing . get stung and use the docks
. you will soon turn the ballance

ps: are you sure they are docks and not horse radis . the two are easily confused

pull up a root and smell that should tell you if it horse or dock

I always let a few docks grow as they are great if the stingers get you.

Crumple the leaf and rub it hard on the sting.It always takes the discomfort away.

so dont pull all your docks up leave some just icase

Comfrey is better for stings and just as hard to dig out.

ok, I know it isn't a plant but if Coriander doesnt work for you against mozzies, spray some Avon skin so soft body oil woodland fresh on and rub in. It does work
