Presumably fell in and drowned...  :-\

It must have fallen in and drowned but we can't work out how it fell in. The can was just on the patio, not under anything.


Thanks for the kind comments but a tad too gruesome for a comp - if only it had been alive and just too fat to fit through!

well, that will teach me, not having my glasses on, I thought it Was alive  :-\

It looks like a wood mouse (yellowish brown with big eyes), and they can jump.

Poor thing!  I would have jumped out of my skin if I'd found that though, lucky it popped its head out before you put your hand in to find out what was blocking it  :P
