Does anyone know what the quality of the fruit bushes, plants  e.g. s/berry, r/berry, b/currant & b/berry are at Parkers bulbs. If not recommended where would you recommend. Thanks.
Janet.

You couldn't make it up!

I have not bought fruit bushes, etc from Parkers, but I have bought some flowering/evergreen shrubs and perennial plants.  I would certainly not recommend buying these.  They were so tiny and had to bring them on for a couple of years in pots before planting them out.  Now their bulbs - that's another matter.

I've never heard of Parkers but my Joan J raspberries came from Marshalls and they are fantastic. The "late" strawberries I got from them last year did ok too.

My Rasberries have been brilliant from Parker's and a fraction of the price compared to Marshall's, also had an apple tree and plum tree from them.

I have just ordered their catalogue, their prices are very good too. I might actually be able to get a fruit tree or two now!!! ;D ;D ;D
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I ordered from Parkers wholesale.  I wonder if there is a difference in the quality of these products when ordering from their retail catalogue.  For example fruit trees (apple/plum) in the wholesale catalogue are £6.20 each, whereas in the retail are £13.95 each

All the things I have had came from the wholesale catalogue Shirley, but maybe there is a difference as I have never ordered from the retail one.

I had two hebe heartbreaker's delivered, this autumn, and they are really beautiful I am very pleased with them and they only cost £2 each and were already potted up.

I was going to ask Star if she had ordered the wholesale catalogue as there is a big difference in price's.

Just caught up with this, I have just ordered the wholesale catalogue Sinbad. Thanks for the link Shirley ;)

Though I did try to look at trees and none came up, maybe its just the site :)

I just got some fruit bushes and trees on line from Blackmoor Nurseries, arrived in good condition and I am very pleased with them - they have a good range too!

Anything I have bought from Parkers has been generally very good quality just smaller than I thought so took a while to get the benefit!

The wholesale catalogue can be better value for money, even when you take into account that the prices quoted in the wholesale one do not include VAT and have a £4. surcharge for orders under £50.  I usually tag my own requirements onto an order for bulbs for selling at plant sales, etc :D
