I'm sorry to sound a dimbo, but I am interested. Where does the dish originate from, and how do you cook it please?
Smile, it confuses people.

Fork

Kishka is like Black Pudding/Blood Pudding

But no doubt someoen will be along to dispute that  ;) ;D ;D ;D
You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friends nose

Bean_Queen

Jewish Kishke is traditionally made from a kosher beef intestine stuffed with matzo meal, rendered fat (schmaltz) and spices. Blood is not used, as it is forbidden

The Eastern European Kishka is a sausage made with pig's blood and buckwheat or barley, with pig's intestines used as a casing. It is traditionally served at breakfast.

Emagggie

Thankyou Bean_Queen. I don't think I would like either though  :-X

Bet you can buy it readymade in the Bronx! ;) Emaggie most of these things sound repulsive but taste pretty good if you can get past how you feel about it.

Last night we had spinach and lentil dhal. Tonight another good old Scottish fave food: lasagne. ;D ;D

manicscousers

braising steak and mushrooms, our potatoes and sweet potatoes mashed with our peas and gravy  :)

asbean

We are just about to eat ragù alla Bolognese (the sauce has been cooking since this morning) with spaghetti, salad and home made rolls (NO breadmaking machine).  Followed by Farmers Market vanilla and stem ginger ice cream.

:P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

PJW_Letchworth

Chicken Silsila, Sag Aloo, Mushroom Rice and a Keema Naan.  Now I feel fuller than my compost bin!
"I will be really pleased when I've had enough of this"

hopalong

Baked salmon fillets, allotment-grown leeks in white sauce and allotment grown desiree potatoes, followed by apple crumble (apples from the allotment) with a dollop of creme fraiche.  Went down very nicely.
Keep Calm and Carry On

Emagggie

Nasty, TS, hope he's okay.

For my tea, I'm having a take away pizza as I am still struggling with the hangover from hell due to the Mrs having gone to see her mum for the weekend. With the kids. This gave me no choice other than to go a little bit tipsy.

How slobby! And I feel no shame!
