I just love beans! ;D  Get a bit carried away really!!  :-[ But as I've had such fun swapping seeds with you guys I had accumulated quite a selection!  8)

Last Year I enjoyed Cherokee Trail of Tears and a Heritage bean called Lazy Housewife.  Both were climbers.  Both highly productive and the taste was superb.

This year I grew a bush bean, yellow Kinghorn Wax.  What a flavour!!  :D

Of all the beans you have grown and enjoyed which would you highly recommend for taste and flavour ???

purple podded, fresh, borlotti and cannellini for storage, very prolific and tasty  ;D

for me young broad beans knock spots off all other beans. I like borlotti! I'm intending growing a lot of strange varieties next year so we'll see.

My favourites this year have been a serbian one (unknown variety); looks like a gold version of Borlotti, and Black Croatian, which is just like a Borlotti but ... black.

tall climbing plants, very prolific.

(I also grew Cherokee, Borlotti, Yin Yang, Ruth Bible, Cosse Violette and some bush/dwarf beans)

I also have Trail of Tears and many other heritage ones... Blue Coco, Top of the pole, Mr Fearns, and this year Madeira Maroon... don't know what they taste like as I'm not allowed any on my current regime!!  :'(

I think Blue Lake have the best taste but they're not as fast growing nor as prolific as some other varieties.
