Yep same here. Brief respite today and tomorrow then up to another 30mm over Tues/Wed.  Oh joy, I so can't wait.  Think I'm going to take up canoeing on the lottie and enter 2012 Olympics!
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!

one of the guys got us a load of wooden pallets on friday, not sure whether to make more raised beds or an ark  ;D

Plenty of rain in Kent, though I know we've got it light compared to lots. Plot is too wet to dig right now, Frustrating as I have spare time just now.

Parts of our site were under water yesterday... but only a bit soggy today as it didn't rain for a change, I had a wheelbarrow Full....  :-\

In West Mids we had nearly 5 inches (actually 12.2cm) from Friday eve until Sunday morn.
as measured in a buckit I'd left out on Friday.

At least today (Sun) was almost dry. :)

Also in the Netherlands: rain, rain, rain yesterday. And some more rain this morning.
If this is a result of global warming and these kind of summers will be the norm for the future, then rising water levels in rivers and other sweet waterresevoirs need as much attention as the rising sea water levels.

I would opt for building an ark of these pallets. Do not forget to take two of every veg on board. I've alway wondered whether Noahs family ate some species into extinction

Think we've been lucky. We've had some really heavy downpours and the Wharfe is higher than it's been for years because of water coming down from further north, but Saturday was really hot and sunny and yesterday wasn't too bad either until the evening. And both house and plot are on hills so lucky there too. My heart goes out to those who are suffering.

My plot isn't waterlogged - it drains fast - but it's wet enough, and it's pretty discouraging. The bees are fine, except I only got a miserable 10lb of honey this year, and I'm a bit worried about a queen that's due to hatch in a couple of days. She's going to need reasonable weather to mate in.

I am kicking myself!!!! the spuds need digging up fast so why did I, after 2 dryish days think I would give it 1 more day and go swimming yesterday
bet the slugs are laughing

Only got my garden but really want to tidy it up, got relatives from Kent coming to lunch on 20th before we all go off to my daughters Silver Wedding celebrations.
I expect their gardens are also neglected and they won't notice my windswept mess ???
