The stuff I used (and it seems to have done the job) is Sprayday Greenfly Killer Plus Debster.
Smile, it confuses people.

You still have to go through squashing the eggs?

Well I've given up on cabbages earlier this year after carefully netting them I successfully kept the butterflys/caterpillars off then the slugs just ate them...almost fully grown cabbages practically overnight. >:(

I have said it before "Enviromesh", my brassicas are nice, healthy and grown the natural way with out any spray.

Kea, try bran for the slugs. They love it and can either dry out or pop after eating too much. But even if it doesn't kill them they'll leave your brassicas alone.

Its only £4-ish for a HUGE sack at animal feed places. Beer traps are fab too ;)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Yes, that keeps the butterflies and pigeons out - but not the slugs.

perfect thank you, i find on smal infestations i can squash the eggs and a sharp pair of scissors works well on the caterpillars
