I have been infected by the "rose virus"  ... I have surrendered to my addiction gracefully. There's no recovery"   On the other hand, imagine life without roses – a dreadful thought!

Interesting that they chose 'purple/lilac' for the RAF? I would have gone for pale blue!!

Lovely flowers.

Asma is nicely fragrant.

I would hate a blue rose, but just thought that I would have looked silly in a purple uniform!

Now that was fun!  I do a more sluggish version with Chopin in the background.

Am I incorrect in this- it seems whenever I've sniffed a lilac colored rose it is very fragrant?

Hello

Some roses are more fragrant than others, I have Blue Moon, Twice on a Blue Moon & Rapshody in Blue which are fragrant.

GrannieAnnie i have reworked the music to something more calmer

Yes, it's a good year for the roses (also my favourite Elvis Costello song!). Mine are all flowering madly.
Jacques Cartier;Louise Odier; Rosa Mundi;Pink Perpétue; Cardinal de Richelieu (going mad in it's 2nd year); Frances lester; climber i grew from cutting with the vicious thorns; vibrant crimson pink unknown; Constance Spry; but one hardly has any flowers and that is Zéphirine Drouhin.
