Does anyone think that after the last few Gardens World there might actually be too much veg on them. Other years there was a mixture of all types of gardening. This year the last few programs has been so much about veg.

I found tonight bit on Joe's allotment as too long, it dragged on and I had lost interest by the end. has it something to do that the program is now 60 min and not 30?

I think the mix will come back, but I hope that they keep at least half on veg cultivation. My only negative observation was how many times we saw the dashboard of Joe's van! If it was an hour long programme on flowers or garden design I would have been a little bored too!
If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

darn it I meant to record it  :'( anybody know if it is repeated?

Too much veg???

Allotments that grow flowers are a waste in my opinion. The more veg the better.

I think we should have an hour of veg one week on GW and then the following week should be set aside for flowers......I know not to turn it on then

;) ;D ;D ;D

Seriously,an even mix would be great.Although I do not grow flowers on my plot I was only talking to another plot holder who does this afternoon.I told him I would like to set aside an area for some flowers to cut next year.He said he would give me some hints and tips.

Yeah I found that out last night as well................... :'(
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

i gave up watching GW years ago when it stopped teaching me stuff about gardening and told me how to spend lots of money and have an instantly spectacular garden.

Tried to have a look at this one on BBC iplayer. It lets me watch Monty's orchard but not the allotment one.

Have you tried watching BBC iplayer through Internet Explorer...? ;)

Think they are thankfully at last following the trend. Seemingly more vegetable seeds are now being bought than flower seeds. For years now flowers and ornamental plants have dominated gardening programmes, so it makes a nice change that we are having more items on vegetable growing. busy_lizzie
