Look carefully at the following photo:

You can see some dug potato trenches, a barrow of manure, a fork, a spade, a rake and an azada... all handy tools and close to hand.

Except when you are using the fork to throw manure in the trenches and you step back a bit into the spade, startled you step forward and trip over the rake banging your shins on the wheelbarrow and performing a highly acrobatic leap sideways to avoid falling in a barrow full of manure.

Lessons learned:
1) Keep your work area tidy
2) I am a clumsy bugger

;D

aye, cheers Redclanger, it was working earlier but when modifying the post it seems to have vanished from preview. Not even working on another image host... weird?

Ant

tried a different image host, must be something odd with the blogspot one?

goodlife

It works now... ;D
Your site is like mine...I grow spades and forks too...it is too much work to be tidying  all the time... ;D...much easier to stick a plaster...

Got it - thank you! (Lovely soil!)

Would love to have seen your acrobatic performance 'live' - but glad you're OK! x

Ant

oh none of it hurt, just large amounts of flailing around like Frank Spencer...  ;D

Think you should get rid of the azada, Ant- you could really hurt yourself with that! ;D

let me guess.... send it your way  ;)

The Azada is one of the best tools I have, good for most things but oh so handy for trenches.  :)

i will make sure my plot is tidy for now on.  ;D

I think I am safety conscious to a H&SE standard up the plot.  always have my rake pointing downwards.  Make sure there is nothing within about 50' when swining my mattock etc.  Not that safety conscious with most things but the thought of dying (I have used up over nine lives already) or suffering yet another serious injury to keep my careful nowadays.
