I have just taken on two allotments and am looking forward to the year ahead. Day one is tomorrow and there's a lot of digging to be done!

Hello & welcome! Should have them both dug over within a few days!

Trevor_D

Two allotments!?! :o

Well, you've certainly got all the right qualifications to sign up to A4A, ie total insanity! Welcome aboard!

Don't try to dig them both in one go, will you? (Stop every so often & take photos!)

Tohellwithweeds

hello and welcome just a bit of advice dont over do it with the diggin i did and could hardly walk for days little and often and good luck

Tee Gee

Like the others say do a little often.

What I did was marked out all my beds then dug them one at a time.

I found that this gave me heart to go on when I realised even if I didn't do any more digging I had at least one area to plant.

Then you will find you have two areas then three areas and so on.

Takes the thought of what is yet to be done out of your mind.

Hi and welcome Gibsonmark.

Congratulations on your two plots ;D
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Multiveg

Congratulations on 2 plots and welcome. Take a picture of the plots before you dig, and at regular intervals to keep us abreast of progress

Hi and welcome.  Best bit of advice I had last week when I joined - take it slowly and get the Radox in!  You do ache at first but after a few visits it gets better.

Hello all,
Thanks for the welcome messages. I have started the digging - went at it nice and steady. Good progress so far.
Got the weekend to carry on the hard work - I must be a glutton for punishment!
Hope the rain stays off for a bit!
