hiya, anne, welcome to the site, can't say I've ever heard of them but you live and learn  ;D

OllieC

Don't you just grow normal ones too close & harvest early? Praps not, but I have that in my head... You'll be able to feed all your friends & their friends too for quite a while if you get the minimum amount of seeds from Moles!

cornykev

Like Ollie says space them closer than usual and harvest when cricket ball size, I did it last year by mistake  ??? so I know it works.  ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

Suttons do a small variety called Protovoy. I grew them last year and they were very tasty, but its best only to sow a few at a time as once they are ready to eat they don't stand for very long.

Thanks for everybody's help. Perhaps I'll just sow them closer and pick them early then. I'll let you know how it goes!

Jeannine

Anne, may I ask why you want mini savoy seeds.

I ask because I am doing a pot garden this year as an experiment for a project I wll do with school next year.

To this end I have been gathering together all kinds on mini veggie seeds and am wondering if that is your intention too.

I still have two lotties but this is different.

Hi Jeannine,
no, it's just that I've grown them for the last few years and they're delicious! I just can't remember what make the seeds were. They grow really quickly and are a really good size (tennis ball size).
Your project for school sounds great - good luck with it!!

Jeannine

Suttons no longer do Protovoy but Seeds by Size do.The other one I am doing is Estoril, the heads get to be about 1 pound weight. XX Jeannine

I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I'm using protovoy seeds from Dobies if that's any help.

Geoff.
You can't please all of the people all of the time, but you can't upset them all at once either.

I'll vouch for that as well  - left them too late.
