Aerobatic Starlings in Gloucester

That was beautiful to watch GW. Thankyou. I'm sure I read recently that the birds fly in groups of seven, and just follow on.

We were returning home tonight when we saw a huge flock of birds doing exactly the same.  I thought oh loverly its the Starlings.  It wasn't.   It was hundreds of Rooks and Jackdaws making for their roost.  It was a wonderful sight as well.

Glad you liked it, I'd love to work out how many are in the group at it's biggest it seems to be thousands just before they finish their display and roost down.

I know what you mean, it is addictive!! I keep going and standing in the bedroom window to watch them, the only problem is it looks like I'm spying on the neighbours over the road!  ;D
