I usually have to go out and re-buy some gifts for me, becuase my folks often ask for a list of what I would like, so I provide a short one.  Unfortunately, they often see something which is similar but not quite what I suggested and at half the price think they've bought a bargain!  Think sneerboer at tesco value prices!

Bit of a cheat....I bought my OH the complete set of  'Carry On' films on DVD for Crimbo, but as I love them too it's a bit like buying them for myself..... 8) ;D
I was given the same, just watched Carry on Abroad,  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
You can't beat 'em.
Smile, it confuses people.

We bought ourselves a Wii - it's hilarious, we've got boxing, bowling, tennis, golf etc.

My Jon's so competitive though that he won't play me at boxing anymore as I beat him 11-3!!! :D
Kathi :-)

prink, daughter Alyson bought one for her children. Brilliant, children didn't get a look in on Christmas Eve when we had a family gathering, the adults took over :) As I was a great snooker player in my teens I am seriously thinking of going in to overdraft to buy myself one if only to play snooker ;D

Go for it Lorna, They are really good no matter your age, size, fitness or physical capabilities,  ma-in-law (75) found the tennis nice and gentle exercise, and is seriously thinking of getting one as well!!

Toadspawn

A bottle of Penderyn Welsh malt whisky. Expensive to buy but worth it for the taste.

If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

If it's Rosie's allotment - how come Muggins here does so much digging?

Weed-Digga

Well I bought myself a DVD of 'The Victorian Kitchen Garden' - was buying it for a friend (who is over the moon with his copy) - I've wanted it myself for so long so ordered two!

am saving mine to watch when I feel a bit 'down in the dumps' just know it will cheer me - just adore the music that accompanies it....Emma Johnson playing Paul Reade's 'The Victorian Kitchen Garden Suite' - moves me to  :'( but in a nice way :)

You'll like that HP, I watched it on UK Style Gardens earlier this year and it acutually offered some gardening advice; as opposed to all of the modern gardening shows which either concentrate on garden centre makeovers or on flowers only  >:(

Enjoy!

I'm just about to order myself some fleece lined wellies from this weeks amatueur gardener (£24.99 in case anyone wants some!) and I'm also going to buy Amy Winehouse's CD.  I've been putting off buying it because I don't want to help fund her addictions, but at the end of the day she's going to take them whether I pay for her CD or not so I may as well get it!  ;D

Trixiebelle

I didn't actually BUY my Christmas present to myself. I filled in an extraordinarily long order on a Marshall's seed form and sent it to my mother to pay for.

After 42 years of inappropriate presents (eg. one year it was a bottle of FAKE Chanel No. 5) I decided it was time to take charge of the situation  ;D
