Last year someone offered bags (from chicken feed) for anyone wanting to use them for storing potatoes.  Does anyone have any excess.  I need them to store potatoes.  My lottie is starting to get hit with blight and I would rather take my chances and lift and store them than loose the lot.

Kind regards

hi jitterbug
I've got some brown paper sacks that I picked up at Poundland a few months ago for that very job, 5 for a £1!
would you like me to send you some?

jitterbug, if you want hessian, there's a post in bargains for hessian potato sacks  :)

My father delivers for a baker and he said he can get me paper bags that the flour is delivered in, so perhaps try a local baker

Thanks for the replies folks.

Don't worry Norfolk - I needed an excuse to go down to my local store.

Try Sainsbury's Homebase, they have brown paper bags at the tills as an alternative to plastic carrier bags.

Help yourself to a handfull - we did  ::)
