Ah i love those words... My line manager read it to the yr 11 girls the other week in assembly and i found them very touching, true and funny.

Cambourne, my therapist too would say that the pain in my head is the pressure im under and the sickness would be my way of trying to release that pain and pressure... Wish my therapist lived nearer... but I've got you guys :-)

Its only 4 weeks till the summer holidays which I am really looking forward to... I just need to keep going until then.

i'm going down the lotty soon to immerse my hands in the soil - read that soil contains a bacteria that has the same effect as antidepressant, it relaxes and revitalises - now i know why i never wear gloves - though its not fun pulling thistles up bare handed LOL.

Thanks again guys  ;D

I am glad that you have got a therapist, i find they can be helpful at these times.

Mine has been teaching me ways to accept what my body is telling me and to push the negative pressue away.

I also found it very helpful to imagine that the weeds or whatever i wanted to pull up, trash or dig was someones face i did not like!!

I have heard other teachers saying that the kids can be much less trouble then the internal politics that goes on.

Hope you got your kick at the allotment :-)

OO. Others have given advice far better than I could. Just want to say hope you soon have better days, good luck with your hopefully new job.

Hi, OO, can't add much to what everyone has said, but sending hugs your way. It's almost weekend!

Jeannine

Hi Emma, hows the head now.. can it not be  a 2 day migraine....take the break and get yourself stronger by Monday. I have been thinking of you all day, waiting to hear any news, that could be a reason  for the headache too you know.

You have got me going on dolls again you naughty girl, I keep picking up The Doll Artworks catalogue and drooling over Donna Rubert's dolls.

It is a good job my kiln isn't hooked up or poor John would be emptying the garage as we speak to find molds. I only have to say the word 'mold' and his face takes on a funny colour. Poor man, he has been moving them around for 20 years or more. LOL( atually choking on coffee)  Well I guess we are lucky I didn't bring the lot,we had over 5000 in our heyday. We changes premises 3 times and he looked like he wanted to be somewhere else.

I think he prefers me having a seed addiction.

I hope you are feeling better soon, just 4 weeks to go. Are you counting the days yet?

Hi Jeannine - still nauseous and medication is starting to wear off so think this may be a two or 3 dayer unfortunately.

Yes seeds are much easier to collect arent they.  I've just found a glass artist at Driffield, I'm very tempted to go up for a lesson or two LOL maybe in the summer holidays when the kids are at camp or something.. I could pop over and we could do dolls on my way back LOL

Jeannine

I need you to  think about the Yorkshire meet, It looks as if it might be the 21st July(check the thread for updates) XX Jeannine

Emma, so sorry I missed all this. I picked it up on Grawc's thread and had wondered how you were doing.Sorry to hear you are feeling cr***y. If you run out of people to talk to you are more than welcome to give me a ring. I will give you a good listening to ;D Time is what is needed, make sure you have some. (even if you have to give someone the go-by, they will understand). PM me anytime.
Maggie.
Smile, it confuses people.

Hope you have had a better day OO.  Have you heard anything about the job?

It's a horrid time in all schools - staff & kids are exhausted & the 'politics' gets completely out of hand - my advice is to picture yourself two weeks into the hols when all the crap will have completely disappeared - it's amazing how things which seem so important now just vanish.  So speaks one who has been there for many years & still has to remind myself that it really doesn't matter.

Funny how it's always the staff who get to us - never the kids.   :)  Sleep well

grawrc

Well said MM. Mind you the staff get to us cos the kids have got to them all year!!!!!

And a cyber hug from me as well. Time does start to heal wounds-but that Demon in your head asking why? why was my trust betrayed ?is a powerful beast-get angry with it,cry and know that it is not invincible.

Hope you are getting over your migraine and you are feeling stronger... :)
Smile at your enemies.

It makes them wonder what you are up to.

Feeling much better today, spent yesterday on my mums new boat in the sunshine.  Got up with the larks this morning and beautiful sunshine, now its cloudy and the rain is on its way surely!  Million and one jobs to do.  Should know about the job tomorrow though I don't think i have got it unfortunately.

I think the number one thing i need to do is slow down!  I have one school fete to do with the cards, and the market next week then i'm not going to commit myself to anything else for a few weeks and just relax and take it steady.

I will just hold my breath and take it steady at work, i am only human and only capable of doing so much in a day, so need to remind myself of that too.

Get the new car next week so I hope that will be the turning point, a symbolic end to my relationship really - silly i know but between darren and i we earned quite a bit yet darren would never let us invest in a decent car. So I'm buying one myself and i dont have to justify to him how i spend my money.

Thanks for all your support it really has helped.

We'd better keep an eye out for you in your car next time we travel across the island to my mum's in Spalding! We often go through Grantham...
