Last night my daughter was up from 0145hrs being sick every hour till 6am. She ended up in our bed with me on the sofa at 0330hrs. Later that morning my 11yr old Dalmatian left a poo parcel on the rug when asleep, then another this evening, again when asleep. OH went to go to bed: my little son had his legs hanging over his bed ladders where he appeared to of tried desperately to make the toilet. He obviously hadn't made it and fell asleep - with urine dripping down his ladders, soaking pyjamas & bedding, him asleep face down hanging half of his bed..... with one hand on his 'nuts' where he must of been trying so hard to hold it in (poor little bugger).... another bedding change at 1130pm.

Just what else can there be

Awwww KT.  I hate it passionately when the sprogs are under the weather.  Tomorrow we have to take daughter to the docs as she has a sore on her face that won't heal and it will have to be operated on.  I'm trying not to think about it!

hope everything goes ok for the litle one, ej

always remember ray and both children had whooping cough at once, I went around, changing jamas, nighties, bedding as when one woke up coughing and being sick, they woke up the other two..

hope everything's ok now, kt..poor you and the littlies  :( :)

lorna

kt do hope things are getting better now. I sometimes think us parents suffer nearly as much as the children, really do hope the children are on the road to recovery.
EJ. Best wishes for your daughter, let us know how she gets on.
It is not easy being a parent :)

hopefully it's just one of those few days..at least electricals don't need changing and washing and keep you up at night..hope nthing else goes wrong, all fingers crossed  :)

OH spent most of last night with his head in the toilet....some sort of gastric upset, not self inflicted! Takes more nursing than the kids poor lamb.... ;D

Why is it electrical equipment fails/blows up etc. in groups of three? That's what seems to happen in our house... :-\
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Aw KT, it's awful when they're ill isn't it?
My 7 year olds favourite story about herself is about the time she had a real nasty gastric sort of tummy bug.
She came into my room, bent over my pillow and said "Mummy, I don't feel...BLEUGH" All over my head. And it stank. I mean - really disgusting. Couldn't help the poor little girl, too busy trying to wash sick out of my hair.
So, day off school the next day, her dad comes home from work, crouches down next to sofa to say "Hey sweetie, how are you?" She looked at him, pulled a little face and threw up all over him, the floor, sofa and the cat.

The next day, she went to the orphanage... ;D

Emmy, well maybe I shouldn't laugh but I did!!!!! Son John has been proper poorly since Friday but at least he doesn't need changing (he's 46 ;D) Must be another one of those nasty bugs going round. Hope everyone soon mends.

emmy, you made me laugh, it reminded me of a welsh holiday..3 kids in the back of a 2 door hyundai pony..
paul said, mum, I feel sick..we pulled over to the side of the road, paul started to get out, threw up all over, made samantha throw up as well..luckily, alan was too little..god, that car stunk to high heaven, there's not much you can do with nappy wipes and a box of tissues  ;D

coznbob

ahhhh, yes. I remember the fateful day when 7 months pregnant with no.3. Eldest 2 got sickness bug. Not sure who threw up more, Jack and Sophie or me when the smell hit! We ended up all sitting with bowls!

Its funny, I can deal with bumps, scrapes, blood and evil nappy contents, but one wiff of vomit and I've had it. ::)

Hope all goes well with kids and electrical appliances, they always go wrong when you have a monster amount of washing to do!
Smile at your enemies.

It makes them wonder what you are up to.

saddad

and I thought I'd had it rough just 'cos the ABS went on the car... got a new one today... car that is. Ok new to me...

Car journeys when I was small were always a prime time for a bout of travel sickness.

I remember I went in to overdrive one Sunday outing when our dog jumped into a sewage pool thinking mistaking it for a patch of grass.......we had to stop about six times on the journey home to hose me, and eventually (thanks to me) my dad and granparents down it smelled so bad!  :o

My dad ended up having to sell the car, we swore we could still smell the combination of sewage and vomit everytime we went in it!! :P

It gets better! On the way to visit my mum in Blackpool - from Bournemouth, eldest decides she is car sick and throws up all over herself, on the motorway, in the back of the car. I hand her the only receptacle i had to hand - one of her baby sisters nappies!!! Very effective though i must say.
We pulled over at the services and after giving her a scrub down and change and de-puking the car as best we could i decided to nip into mcdonalds and grab some paper bags. I asked the guy behind the counter very nicely if i could possibly have some bags as my little girl was really car sick and we still had miles to go. He said No. One of the girls working there looked at him in utter disbelief and handed me an enormous pile of them. Bless her!!

ok will just stop reading the thread.

Carol, I can just about tolerate it when it's my children but no-one else. I have to tie something around my face so i can deal with it. Everything makes me go urk!
O.k - this is TOTALLY DISGUSTING so if you are a bit squeamish look away...

Once on a tube in London i saw a guy do that footballer nostril clear ( I'm urking as i type) one finger on one nostril and blow. right onto the floor in front of me. I gagged and retched and fled to the other end of the carriage. I couldn't speak for gagging. The people at the other end said when i'd finally composed myself that it was not uncommon!!!! EEEUUW!
