Will it cling to a wall?

Mine is 'Heavenly Blue'.

I don't think so, though it's a couple of years since I grew it. I've grown it on trellis or up a hedge. It twines rather than clings, I think.

Mrs Ava

Nope, I'm with caroline, it is a twiner not a clinger.

Debs

ROTH,

Definitely a twiner. I have grown heavenly blue.

fluffygrue

Yeah, best get it either some trellis or a cane wigwam. When they're happy, they seem to spread rapidly.. (But I always sow the seeds too early and end up with sickly little things..)

I found my label yestereday. I sowed them on 22nd May last year & they were lovely.

Beautiful plants but need something to twine around... anything.. put some 8' canes in the border and they will be up to the top in no time!

and once you've grown one, unless you live in a very cold area, you've always got them. I seem to weed them out of my garden more than I do chickweed these days...

Tee Gee

A trellis is ideal as you can see;

That'll look nice on my fence... :)

I've only got 5' canes for mine at the ready (still indoors beefing up).  When they reach the top, should I pinch them out ?

Yep - twiners - beautiful to wake up to  :)

saddad

If not earlier Mrs KP... they can be pinched out at any height all you loose is height but you gain flowering side shoots!

Cheers m'dear.  Bit like sweet peas then ?  They're still a bit wee yet but I'll pinch as soon as they look sturdy.
