I have only been a member for 3 weeks and have just suffered withdrawal symptoms. Instead of using the time when A$A was lost in Cyberspace to work like mad on the allotment, I spent wasted hours trying to log on in between writing a pumpkin page.

9am-10am: Tried to pick a piece of glass out of the palm of my hand that's been stuck in there for 2 weeks (whilst refreshing the A4A page every 10 minutes)

10am - 11am: Planted bedding plants, dill, oregano, basil & nasturtiums in the back garden (whilst refreshing the A4A page every 10 minutes)

11am - 3pm: Picked up barmy child from nursery, worked like mad on the allotment, disposed of a dead chicken, made fresh herb pancakes on the camping stove in the shed and sunbathed

3pm - 4pm: Went to garage and paid vast amounts of money to fix the car

4pm - to 5:30pm:  A4A, E-Bay, Freecycle, tested out my new chicken incubating equipment and accidentally spent £80 on a pair of shoes on-line  ::)

Well that was careless of you Trixi, but could happen to anyone [shoes I mean].

Sorry about your chook - never nice.  I'm thinking of getting a couple of new girls to replace the two I've lost recently.

What did we do?

Serviced the Honda.
Cultivated 2X25sq/m plots.
Potted up 24 new plants.
Put out French Beans.
Repaired a g'house pane that g/son kicked out.
etc!

had a few tries to login, failure so ....

went to Lincoln for shopping therapy and Lunch.

LIDL therapy was good, very calming
Lunch was 'ace' good food and reasonable cost (High Bridge Cafe on the High St.) and the Sun shone all day ;D

but missed my A4A  ;)

went to lidl as well, bought 4 seep hoses, 2 for us, went to the plot, ray spent all day 'playing' with them, getting soaked in the process.. ;D
I transplanted 48 celery, 48 parsley seedlings, planted 3 cucumbers in the poly, tried to make more room for all the plants, no chance

came home to try again, yippeee  :)

What did I do?
Made tea and chewed my nails as the 'error' messages started to seep into my sanity.
Distracted myself with a visit to the bees at the bottom of the garden (who are now making queen cells in good earnest ::):() ...
Started work, clicking A4A every time I got to a stopping point. Emailed a mate to try A4A in case it was me not the site. Chewed more nails...
Worked some more, in between bouts of trying to raise the site from any link I could find...
Went to fetch Small Triff from school, made supper for him and coaxed him through his homework project...
And YAY! Finally got back to the PC and everyone's back. Oh I could kiss you all.  ;)  Dan particularly!  ;D ;)

Went down to the lottie with my friend and spent a hilarious couple of hours constructing two netted cages for my brassica beds. They were made from lots of different parts of different interlocking poles that had been left by the previous tenant.

People kept wandering by and watching us trying to put something together, comments such as "I wouldn't try the Kypton Factor if I were you.." added to the general hilarity. Perhaps if we hadn't sat in the sun and drunk a bottle of wine without eating any lunch before we started, we might have done it a bit quicker...but it wouldn't have been such a laugh! Made up for A4A not being online when we eventually made it back home... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I spent most of the day at the allotment as well. Makes you wonder if we really need A4A and might get more done if we weren't hooked???????

YES!!

And no! Glad I joined & glad to be back.

I was at work as usual and suffering serious withdrawal symptoms - A4A helps keeps me sane !!  ;D

Weeded lawn by hand!   Not a dandy or daisy left.  :D
(Didn't help my trowel hand blister syndrome at all!)
If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

Spent far too much money at Lidl and the rest of the day alternately trying A4A and working in my garden - put up wigwam for French beans, moved poly-cloche from one raised bed to another, prepared pots for GH cucumbers, toms, peppers and aubs. By then I was knackered so put my feet up for an hour before supper.

Mice were at my peas and sweet peas, fortunately nothing's actually been wiped out. There's plenty of poison down now, and hopefuilly they'll eat that instead. I watched a film, caught up on my Emails, and spent the evening relaxing on the allotment. There were bats flying about tonight, Venus was really bright, and even a mile from the city centre, i could clearly see the dark hemisphere of the mon glimmering in the earthlight.
