Is it at all possible to harvest peas, and get them to the kitchen for cooking, or do they always seem to just sort of disappear once shelled? I know mine always did in the past.

In the past i have always thought i had oversown in order to cover those that mysteriously disappear, to no avail obviously.

Don't worry about tomorrow, or yesterday, just think about today.

I'm the only one who likes them raw - thank god!

When decididng whatto plant this year at the allotment OH suggested not bothering with peas as the yield had been so low :( I fonly he knew ;D I have persuaded him to give them another chance - I'll just have to graze on something else :'(
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams 1952 - 2001)

My dad grew only peas and runner beans and they were in a locked part of the garden. When I was sent there to pick the peas on Sundays I had to whistle while picking them and carry on whistling while shelling them, without any breaks in the whistling  :o

I had a very crule and deprived childhood :'(

manicscousers

bet you've made up for it since?  ;D

I prefer peas without cooking them, we used to nick loads from my grandads garden when he wasnt looking. lol

Mrs Ava

Number one son won't eat peas until he has been on the allotment, picked a bowl full himself, and shucked them himself.  Then he eats them!

Peas, strawberrys and raspberries.  Impossible to get them all home. ;D
