I could cry. All I want in the world is some decent digging weather  ::)

Blue Bird

Liked the site put it onto favorites  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Pah, time to gather wood for an ark and bring in animals 2 by 2 in our area!
I would rather have frost than this wind and rain, like Laura, I just want to get out in the garden and dig! :'( :'(

Seems like only a few weeks ago that the weather men were predicting the coldest winter on record, think we have had about 5 frosts up to yet
Richard       If it's not worth having I will have it

Blimey, it's like a quagmire out there already - I will need a boat to get to the chickies :)

Robert_Brenchley

The cold weather didn't start till late in 1963; late feb or early March (I was only 9 at the time). I remember going out sledging in the local park; I only had shorts, and wading around in knee-deep snow really hurt.

Curryandchips

I remember that winter well too, my mum made me wear so many clothes, I couldn't move my arms, but I still wore shorts too. Deepest snow I ever walked through. Conjures up images of chilblains and hot soup by the fire.

Blimey it is going to be a cold week in Essex, with snow forecast on Sunday!  Wow the kids will be chuffed.  Lots of heavy frosts next week.  As for this rain, it appears that tomorrow will be a dry day, but rain coming in until the end of the week after that.  Typical....I will be working!

Curryandchips

Well we are at what is traditionally the coldest time of year, so I am not surprised to see any nasty weather at all.

It said in our paper today that the north-west has has 146% of the usual rain for December :o No wonder it's seemed as if it never stops. We get enough of it normally never mind half as much again!

Shirley

Have found Metcheck a bit unreliable at times.  (Their cartoon showing big suns whilst I am looking out of the window watching the rain!)  This site might help as an alternative or backup

Thanks Shirley, that's a new one for me :)

Well thats great news!! just looked at our area...not too bad, all the time I'm at work or asleep (nights again) then its horrid when I`m off.

Looks like the porch roof will have to stay leaking for a while longer yet I'm sure OH will be very happy with that!

I've just booked the double glazing guys to do their thing, so I can comfortably predict sub zero conditions and gales in Cheshire 26th to 30th Jan. :-\
is it in the sale?
