...but seeing the way that "Golden Promise" deal with the subject, I could be converted.

Free range, slow reared, hand plucked & hung for 7 days.

Best thing is that 'next door' are cooking it!!

I'm not crazy about it either.  We have Kelly's Turkey farm just around the corner - famous for their Bronze Turks.  The police will be out in force over the weekend directing traffic from 6am until 6pm! People travel for and wide for their birds.

Did you see how Nigella treated her's last night?  A brine bath for 24 hours.

I didn't fancy it EJ! And my kids were urgghhhhh Nigella!

Ours is languishing in the fridge, waiting for me to hack it up, and is locally reared Bronze too!
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.

The wonder is that Nigella's got any teeth left....all her food is sooooooo sweet....I'm presuming her teeth are her own? :-\ No, so far, her recipes have done nothing for me at all. I'm also unimpressed by her lack of hygiene & food preparation? Notice the birds taken straight from the pack into the baking dish last week?

(turkey? thank goodness I'm not hidebound by tradition....no turkey here :))

Mrs Ava

Yes, we noticed that Lish - everything is lilbrally coated in maple syrup or something sweet and sticky.

However, I did make the spare rib marinade that she did the other week for chicken wings for the guvner last night and he was impressed.

We are on turkey......twice!  :o

I've loads of parsley too - both curled and flat leaf. All outdoors but since this morning I've woken up to the first big frost we've had so far....hmmm...praps I should have moved the pots into the g/house & fleeced the rest in the ground....
