Glad you're feeling better. :) I second the ibuprofin gel. Also, I do the yoga/pilates stretch where you slowly lower yourself to touch your toes and hang there, head, neck and arms relaxed. Hang for a loooong time if you need to, or do it a bunch of times. Letting your neck and shoulders muscles relax. It can really help if the muscles are tensing and contributing to the pain.

I highly recommend my chiropractor too. He's a lovely young French man if that helps. ;) (not my cup o' tea but you can't complain!)

Analgesia and anti-inflammatory as seperate medicines or combined usually suffice. With 2-3 days of rest too.

Thanks to everyone who wished me well!  Glad to say I am almost back to normal.  Still aches a little, but life goes on and I went to work today and tackled more brambles than I had when I first took on my allotment!  Will let the better half unload the dishwasher from now on!  Far to aggressive a sport for me!

ACE

If it hapens again try the gin remedy.

Put a bottle of gin in the fridge for 2 hours, open bottle and drink contents, then rub your neck with the cold empty bottle ;D

Mrs Ava

Ace, I will remember that one above all else!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Agree with almost everything offered, but don't forget the physio's help which I offered. It DOES work - where appropriate!  Cheaper than drugs.
