I want to remove the grass section in the above image but have my compost bin near.

Is it ok for this to be located so close and also i have notice there are a lot of ant activity.

Shall this be ok to extend the growing area ? ???

yeeha! your off and running, i knew you'd get the bug. get rid of the grass, grow more fruit/veg, then run out of space again and get yourself an allotment. x

I'd knock the fence down as well and just keep on going  ;D

you could lay down newspaper, spread the compost over the lawn and start planting straight away! ;D

Barnowl

But if that's a Mimosa in the corner you should hang on to it - lovely plants.

Ok thats it done, whew that was tough going, took me 2 hours and my back hurts now......worth it tho.  ;)

There were loads of tree roots n the soil so took longer than i thought.

I'll post some new pics tomorrow once its daytime again.

You could always plant a marrow, gourgette or melon etc.. near the compost bin - they really like that  ;D
