Could somebody tell me what this plant is please - I haven't a clue.

It could be something that I planted a couple of years ago that I thought I died. Until I know what it is I won't know if it's a weed.

Could it be a campanula?

RESULT!!!

Thanks to everyone who contributed.

I found a couple in Dorset who seemed to know their Campanulas. It seems my plant is:

Campanula Trachelium (common name - Bats-in-the-Belfry, English Throatwort)

Because I am endebted to them for helping me I want to show you their Website which is well worth a visit.

I have promised to visit one of their open gardens when we holiday down there next month.

Thanks all.
GF.

Glad you have your answer GF.
Can I also add that I've visited Lynne and Malcolms garden through another board and it's definitely worth it. Lovely people and a beautiful haven of a garden  :)
