Had to show our Clivia, no matter how badly treated it flowers year in year out!! We think it's beautiful!!

So why've you got flowers??

This was taken off the 'mother' plant last year.

Reading from the "house plant expert" by hessayon, it says " An old favourite which will FAIL to bloom year after year if it is left in a heated room in winter or if the watering "rules" ::) aren't followed. It needs Space, It needs winter rest - an unheated room, NO fertilezer, and just enough water to prevent wilting! and it needs to be undisturbed - don't move pot when in bud or flower and dont repot unless the plant is pushing out of the container"
Sounds like a right fussy little B-gg-r but it aint really!!

Yes - or She does. Nothing sacred in this house!!

Here is mine.  It has lots of flower spikes coming also.  Plus I have lots of berries still on it.  It is getting huge and bursting out of it's pot, but I am loath to pot it on whilst it is looking so fab!

My lad bought one for his mum on mothers day 2 years ago didn't flower last year so over Christmas this year i stuck it the greenhouse in the cool until a flower bud apperred brought it in the house and hay presto!!! FLOWERS.... ;)
