Those chaffinches are fast arent they. ;D

It took me ages to identify mine last year and it was only because i recoginised a new song, and many moments of sitting still and quiet that i finally realised we had a couple of chafffinces visiting for the first time, hope they come back this year too, cant wait to see if they do.

Looks as though he's really telling you off Eric! Or maybe just shivering in the cold?

The Chaffinch has replaced the sparrow in my garden as being common.  I must have up to 60 of them visiting just now along with the bramblings.  They are welcome though   ;D ;D ;D ;D

I love chaffinches but I never get them in my garden.   :(  But I did have a lovely surprise today, though.  In addition to my robin and the sparrows (dunno where the starlings were today) I had two (yes two!) blue tits.  :D
