I had a fabulous weekend camping in Knoydart one, the only problem was the ticks. The place was totally overrun by deer, and they were overrun by ticks; the things were everywhere.

I love the Scots, my sense of humour, I find the scenery a bit dour, not used to it being a soft southerner.I like my scenery more woody and gentle, its too much wilds for me. ::)

Val, I totally agree with you.  We lived near Oban on the west coast of Scotland for 4 years.  It's a beautiful place with very friendly people and surrounded by mountains.  :)  It was lovely at first but after a few years I began to miss the English countryside.  :'(  It was not just the woodlands, chalk downland and valleys that I missed but also the houses.  In Scotland they are very similar wherever you go, but in England there are thatched houses, stone cottages, tiled fronted houses and tudor houses to name but a few.  English pubs/inns are also very different, both inside and out.  To give an example, how can anything compare with the George Inn at Norton St Phillip with its old courtyard and gallery.

There were one or two pleasant pubs around Oban, such as the Falls of Laura but the inside is all modern.  They took out everything that gave it character, when we lived in the area in the 1980's.  We stopped going there as it lost all its charm.  :'(

I suppose this is all sidetracking off "What do we look like" but has a lot to do with our personalities beneath the photos!   :-\

Wardy. Didn't EJ have it locked just to keep it tidy, sorry EJ if I am wrong. I can still view all the photos but I think if one wants to put their pic on they post it to what do we look like.. and then EJ puts it to the gallery section. Sorry Sorry Sorry if I have got it all wrong!!!!!!

Mrs Ava

Nope, that is right Lorna, I hold the key  ;D.  Because we all have a passion for a natter, I thought it best to keep that particular thread clean.  I didn't know we could lock our threads, Yellow Petals pointed me in the right direction, so now it can just be a rogues gallery. Making it sticky is what I am after so it can stay at the top of the page.

lorna

Wardy.. Aha I actually got something right!!!.Also proves that I do read some things on here., actually I must read most of the things, just look at the time I spend on here!!

redimp
