This is a small wood area in our village with a pond and ancient monument site.  Taken at 9.30am today.  Hubbie and I took a walk to the next village for a newspaper and had a longing look at the lotties on route.....all look beautifully tended under the snow...am hoping someone decides not to renew their lease in the New Year!  :'(

Amanda. Great pic. My old neighbour who was not into gardening although he had half acre would say when the snow came. "Ah! all the gardens look the same now!!"

Lovely photo Amanda, good luck with getting yourself an allotment next year. :)

What a Christmas card!

Just love the plants when they have a dusting of snow.  You can't spot the rust, mildew, blackfly, etc, etc.

Great picture!  Good luck getting a lottie soooooooooooon.

No real snow here, just freezing temperatures and the odd trace of overnight snow showers.

Georgie

Two beautiful piccies, there.   ;D  This is all we got here in London.

Georgie that is how my garden looked yesterday (well not as nice as yours!! ;D) but we had another fall of snow overnight and had a good covering this morning. Main roads are clear, I was glad about that as Lorna has to travel 14miles to work, after tomorrow she has 6 days off.. Have just spoken to sister-in-law (on here) who lives in Chislehurst and she says nothing there.
My friend have a  VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.     Lorna

Just the merest sprinkling here in Birmingham. Too cold to do any work though.

lorna

Robert. Just took dog out to the garden and it feels extremely cold this evening. Gonna put car in garage, I sometimes forget and then curse in the morning if  there has been a frost or snow.

Georgie

Hi Lorna, where's the pic then?   ;)  It's really cold here tonight as well, not sure if any more snow is forecast tonight but today's hasn't melted.  Happy New Year to you too.

Robert, that's pretty pathetic as snow goes! I agree though, far too cold to do anything outside today so I've been flicking through the seed catalogues which arrived this morning.  Not buying anything mind, already got more than I know what to do with.   ;D

The site is actually a bit of a frost pocket, and I had hoped for a little more. But no such luck, as you see.

Georgie. Sorry bit late in answering!! I had forgotten to charge camera batteries. Have got them on full charge now in case birds come to visit the new restaurant ;D

Georgie

Oooh, have you got it all set up now?

Georgie. Have bought a six perch feeder and bought a fat ball (will make my own after this!!) bought sunflower seed and mixed wild bird seed. Hung feeder and fat ball on cross rails of the gazebo frame (not taking it down this year..the frame). That will have to do for time being. Fingers crossed.
