I got something right ;D,after having my `head` somewhere else for the last several months I dried the paprika peppers today.

Buldog something or other from Simpson`s Seeds-they ground to a rich, red full of aroma powder.

Not much of a posting it`s true-but at least some enthusiasm has returned ;)

Then let me be the first to welcome you back Cleo. I have been aware of your absence, and I think lots of other friends will say things better than I can but I am glad to see you back.

Oh yes, and well done on the paprika  ;D

Wicker

Welcome back, Stephan - could have done with some of that paprika last night- empty wee jar i9n the cupboard - maddening!  Learning all the time - had never thought of "grinding" my own

Thanks-the garden is a disaster zone, but I got out there today and am building a new compost bin-and grief I have some weeds to add.

I just `lost it` no enthusiasm for much really-today I woke up feeling `different`-maybe I was depressed?-who knows and who cares!!!-

roll on next year :)

I know how you felt, Stephan - there are times in everyone's life when one has to have a good dose of a4a to get revitalised!

Ahh, Stephan, there you are!  Today I took a photo of my fading cardoon and thought of you.  Even said your name out loud!  Glad you are back and around and feeling better.

And now tell me, are the peppers actually called paprika peppers?  I use masses of regular, hot and smoked paprika, and I pay good money for it..now you tell me I could be doing it myself!

For you Stephan, meet Cleo!

Robert_Brenchley

How did you dry them?

aquilegia

Hi Stephan - good to see you back.

If you're feeling blue I always find the best thing to do is something, anything. Get a fork and turn the compost, dig a new flowerbed, do some weeding. It doesn't matter what, just something that you can achieve and get the blood pumping!

Thanks again for those chili seeds you sent me (Apache) the slugs left me with two plants that are covered in little red chilis - and boy are they firey! Mr Aqui loves them!
gone to pot :D

cleo

Bless you all ;D

Now,those peppers-I think they are called something like `buldog hungarian spice`-from Simpsons. I cut them in half and put them in a very low oven 90C until they were dry enough to put in a spice grinder.

EJ-thanks for the photo.

And some other news--`Rags`-the starving, sick cat we brought back to health vanished while we were on holiday-just over five weeks later-a week ago actually-she turned up in the wee small hours of the morning fit and well-cats?-I ask you?:??
