Trying to resist phoning in!!!!! Know I'd just stammer, giggle and blush... Lottie  ;D

beejay

I listened to Radio 2 at lunch time and all they were talking about was A level results! must have missed it  :(

wardy

They did it about an hour late  :)

I think they had me and my old man in mind when they were talking about the totally different attitudes towards gardening that men and women have.  My OH is treating my allotment just like he does the garden.  I threw him off a few weeks ago as he said I had to dig the flowers up which were growing around my shed as he can't get in with the lawnmower  :o :o  He's not been back since as is sulking  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Doris_Pinks

Wardy mine is like the chainsaw one, but in his case it is hedgeclippers!

I have to agree about the men & lawns thing. They do mostly love their lawns but also like them to be perfect with stripes, weed free & all the rest. I like a lawn, but as long as it is green............ It is a foil to all those glorious blooms after all. Luckily my husband is a different breed - he even loves shopping the sweetheart.

aquilegia

My mum and dad are definitely typical - he does the lawn and the hedges. The closest he gets to a flower is pruning his beloved forsythia. mum does all teh flowering and edible things.

Mr Aqui and I don't have a lawn or hedges. He gets to do whatever I tell him! (I'm totally the boss of that domain!)

Mr Aqui's parents have a very fair devision of labour - she does everything in the garden, lawn, flowers, everything. He watches the football!

ps Beejay - Mr Aqui hates shopping. And so do I! (unless it's for seeds or plants!)
gone to pot :D

jaggythistle

We do all things in the garden 50/50........but she takes all the praise...lol
I AM THE ONE THAT WEARS THE TROUSERS in this domain but I have the
  wives permission to say that........ :P :P :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
and if I have a £10 note in my pocket I know I have put on the wives trousers by mistake   lmao....... and I am sure all you females on the board are the same
you all still have your first pound ;D ;D ;D and when and if you do open your
  purse the band strikes up "believe it if you like". ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

undercarriage plan

Actually, Jaggy, I do have a little pot all tomyself .... heehee  ;D from my veg stall, but very generous with it, if i say so myself!!! My OH does no gardening at home, whatsoever, nothing, nada, zilch!!! Goes out occasionally, points, says "What's that?" Then retires to garage!! At lottie, pleads ignorance, but does cut the grass. And is about to become very good at polytunnel construction...... ;DLottie

Mrs Ava

I am the gardener - lawns, flowers, veg, greenhouse, etc.

Ava is the maintenance man, builder, pondkeeper and compliment giver.
