Asparagus

Planted 15 asparagus crowns 3 weeks ago and no sign of life yet. How much longer will I have to wait?
I'm getting impatient and am on the verge of digging one up to see if it looks alive!

I wouldn't worry yet - the plot next to me has had asparagus in as long as I've been there, and they're not yet through the ground this year.  Local conditions are probably not quite there yet.

Even the Farmers' Market hasn't got it. Though I see that some A4A members have been cuttting already.
