After the help and encouragement I have had from yourselves I thought I'd show how the pond has come along. Needs a few more plants around it and I would really like to get a miniture lilly but I'm very pleased with it so far. Want to make it quite dense around the back and possibly have something growing up the fence. I hope it is nice to actually see what I've been asking about! Thanks for your help.

Great job!! It looks like it has been there for a long time - just imagine how it will all mature and develop. It makes me want to try a pond (perhaps in a half barrel), but space is scarce in my little garden.

Looks great!  :D

I am keeping my eye out for one of those sinks, definitely mean to give it a go down at the lottie.

Cheers folks! I am rather pleased with it so far! I was quite nervous about it at first incase I got it wrong and it looked stupid.

Plocket I shall have to go and find the labels so I can list the plants for you. Think there is about five and some duckweed that came with the frogspawn!

Lord Steve, yes give it a go,even a little little little pond gives a new dimension to the garden also have a look at the post where I asked for help with plants because Jesseveve pointed me towards a brilliant aquatic plant website. I haven't ordered anything yet but I'm after a miniture lilly. Hoo hoo, I'm all excited!

Heldi

P.S has anyone noticed the grumpy looking toad? My son got me that and no its not me at breakfast time!!!

Val

Steve hi..you could have a tiny one, mine is so small you wouldn't know it was there, its the top bit of a pre formed waterfall. but the frogs still love it. Go on go for it.....x

Well I'm sold - it's gorgeous.  I'm going to do a cheapy version for the lotty, using a £5.00 baby bath

i like the look of this.

we have a waterbutt on the site that not many people are using because we also have a tap and communal hose - but i dont think frogs would have an easy way to get in and out - though it would be excellent for slug control, for sure

...yes,its a real job...

Heldi

Thanks Kitty. I found my sink in a bric a brac shop. A real bric a brac shop that wasn't pretending to be anything else. As soon as I spied the sink I wanted it even though I hadn't thought through what I'd do with it. I'm very pleased I jumped at it now.  Haven't been back to the shop yet, have to save up some pocket money for a good rummage!
