Yummy! I made a quick version the other day- stewed some apples in the microwave for a few minutes, crushed some ginger biscuits and sprinkled them over the top, back in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Lovely with cream or ice cream.

tomatoada

I make individual ones in ramkins and freeze.  They come in handy when I need a fix.  Will try the ginger biscuit idea.  Will use some of my gooseberrys.

God, that looks bloody delicious!  My kids like crumble made with apple or pears and bits of chocolate in teh fruit mixture!!!
Whenever I make crumble mix, I always make quite a lot and freeze half. Then when I am pressed for time, I just have to peel and chop a few apples, add a bit of frozen rhubarb or berries from the freezer and top it with the crumble mix, as it comes out off the freezer. In about 10 minutes I can have a crumble in the oven.
