CotswoldLass

Happy New Year everyone! We just got back from 3 1/2 glorious weeks visiting rellies and friends in Australia and I can't get aclimatised to this wet, cold weather!
Seeing Snowdrops, Crocus and Hellebores all flowering in my otherwise pretty wintery garden was a real boost though!
I just wonder how long I can keep this tan going...
Hope you're all keeping well,

Love CLx

We took photos on the 'low-tech' camera, but I'll try to find a way of posting something (Maybe Mum aged over 70 as she is the pic-tech-whizz in our family?). Thanks for the lovely 'welcome home'. Got hassles with the landlords on my return, but am so relaxed I won't let them get to me any more. Looks as if I'll be Wiltshire Lass for a while come April, as we missed the house we wanted, but let's see, I've got more optimism for the future after our adventure!
Saw some beautiful flowers and trees in Oz ....will post more news tomorrow.

Thanks guys! Love you lots, CLx

Who's a lucky Cotswald Lass then to have had a loverly time in Oz.   I'll look forward to seeing your pics in due course.   I haven't been posting recently cause I too have been just a bit busy doing interesting "other" things, which I'll tell you all about another day.   Glad to hear from you again.....
Every best wish, Colin.

Moggle

Welcome back CL, hope you didn't have too much jet lag!

We must have come close to passing each other at Heathrow, me coming in, you going out  :D

Which bit of Oz were you in?
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

CotswoldLass

Moggle I was in WA (Fremantle, Busselton and Perth) with various rellies, then 2 days in Sydney with a mate then down to Melbourne (north of) to stay with more mates - totally awesome!!! Where were you? How did you do your journey? I didn't suffer too much...

Colin hi there, fab to hear from you!!! Are you still running your lottie association? Hope you are well and hope to hear more news soon...

It's SO lovely to hear from you all...and I'm just investigating buying a printer/scanner so I can get my own pics posted, but if you can all hang on I'd love to share it all.

Have a great weekend!

Hi CL  WELCOME HOME - sounds like you had a great time.  Hope you can get your scanner soon - looking forward to seeing your piccies.  Sorry you lost the house you wanted - are you looking to settle in Wiltshire?  I have relatives there, whereabouts are you thinking of settling.

Love

Pat
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Welcome back CL.  Glad you had a great time.  :) busy_lizzie
live your days not count your years

CotswoldLass

Hi  all!
Great to catch up again. I was bowled over by the beautiful shrubs 'down under' and there are a lot of lovely roses. My Aunt and Uncle have a lovely garden and it was gorgeous to sit out in the evenings (with a glass or two of Aussie Chardy of course). It is so dry and there are water restrictions in most places so everyone has automatic sprinkler systems that come on at night - wow wouldn't that be lovely!
Pat if I do end up in Wiltshire it will be in the Wylye Valley, very beautiful I know but it still feels far from home to me. A lot can happen in two months though, and at least I feel positive about the whole thing instead of sad.
Have a great weekend all!
Love CLx (working on the scanner idea and more photos to see this avo when OH arrives!)

CotswoldLass

Oh dear! Now OH has been given notice to quit HIS house, so I am not heading to Wiltshire.
Searching, but so far nothing to rent (which we'll need until we can buy) around here......
One step forward (me getting used to the idea), two steps back (it's not going to happen anyway).
Wish us luck folks!
A stressed out CLx

Gardengirl

Oh poor you  & OH CL - you certainly don't deserve all this hassle.  Try not to get too stressed (easier said than done I know) - I do hope something comes along very soon.  Keep us informed and good luck with your search :-*
Happy gardening all...........Pat

The weather in WA must have been marvellous at this time of year, shame you had to come back to the cold eh?

Such a shame too, that your house situation has to be so unsettled. It will all work out okay in the end I am sure, the perfect house will just turn up for you  :)
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

CotswoldLass

Moggle the weather WAS fab! And it was in Sydney and Melbourne too. Took me a while to acclimatise again to good old English winter. What's your area of OZ?
Keep your fingers crossed on the house front....there must be the right garden out there for us somewhere!

CLx

Meanwhile, Lassie, drop over and cry on our shoulders?

They get broader year on year!! = Tim

CotswoldLass

Bless you Tim! And I may need a home for some plants? Let's see how things go and what happens....watch this space! CL x  ;)

Kerry

oh CL, sorry at your 'new' bad news. here's hoping that you can both find yourselves somewhere to call home, with, of course, a lovely garden.
