Now that's a colourful harvest Saddad. Wot are you going to do with all of those? Yes I know you are going to eat them, but in what way?
Smile, it confuses people.

saddad

Most will be cooked down into Tomato slop for use through the year... but some will just have to be eaten raw... ::)

tim

I would hasten to use all I could in Salads to show off their wonderful colours & individual flavours, before mushing them.

Oh, & freeze the small ones whole.

saddad

I'll give that a try Tim, would never have considered freezing them whole...
???

Do I see some 'Orange Bananas' in there? Yum! 8)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Did you provide the garden Peach plants? In the pure container on the left...  ???

Deb P

Yep, the Garden Peach were initially started off by me too.......a lot of people were intrigued with them at the Open Day, I gave away quite a few for peeps to try, really fragrant they are... 8)

lucky you can grow 20 - 30 varieties, how many plants all together for such a lovely harvest. i grew 9 varieties, but just one of each, not enough space to grow more. that's why i would love to get a lotty so i could grow more on mass for making my own sauces and for overall production aimed at storing for the lean months, but must not complain as my large garden has kept us in veges all summer with little or no supermarket purchases.

Hi Saddad, great crop, they all look in top condition too. Were they indoor or outdoor?

tim

I was asked elsewhere about freezing.

Nothing clever - the mini-plums are best, being more solid. We use them in casseroles, curries etc.

The bigger ones we mush to save space.

ruud

Saddad is that black plum,if so it is one of my favourite. They dont make the way back from the lotty.i eat them so from the plant like a healthy snack.

Rhubarb Thrasher

I had black plum in the swaps this year, except it wasn't black, and it wasn't a plum  :D Heavy cropper though

caroline7758

They look wonderful! The question is- which is your favourite? :D

saddad

The Black Plum is called "Black Maur"... which may mean Plum in foreign!!!!
They were indoor, and still are, that is about three days worth. My favourite at the moment is probably Charlie Green, a huge green tom, although Black Cherry is a good second.
;D

cleo

That  is a nice crop. When I saw the title I wondered if that company was back in business.

So many varieties to try and so little space :(
